/, Elementary/STREAM Night!

The first successful STREAM night was held last week! Families got to do fun activities like Alka Seltzer bottle rockets and making slime.┬áSTREAM, which stands for ‘science’, ‘technology’, ‘reading’, ‘engineering’, ‘art’, and ‘math’, incorporates 21st century skills. The goal of STREAM night was for families and students to engage in learning that was fueled by student’s intrigue.

Families got to eat a yummy dinner with pizza, cookies, and win cool items! Prizes included IMAX tickets, science projects, and puzzles. Students also got to fill out their “learning passports” for additional prizes. Additionally, there were multiple senior students who came to help out with projects and taught some of the activities.

A huge thank-you to Burlene Padilla who planned the event! Thank you to all staff and students who volunteered their time for our MTS families.
