VERY IMPORTANT SAFETY MESSAGE TO PARENTS/GUARDIANS AND STAFF MEMBERS OF OUR MUCKLESHOOT DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PROGRAMS: This morning (Thursday, February 19, 2026), a mountain lion/cougar was observed near our Muckleshoot Tribal School Campus. The safety of our students, staff members and our Muckleshoot Families are always our highest priority. Our Muckleshoot Department of Education Programs are taking precautionary measures to ensure everyone's safety.  All student activities will be held indoors until further notice.  Due to this mountain lion/cougar sighting reported this morning, we strongly recommend that a parent or guardian is present when your child is dropped off at the bus stop/home this afternoon.   Sincerely,   Joseph       Joseph J. MTS Families and Staff: Good morning, Kings! IMPORTANT UPDATE: MTS is running a 2 HOUR DELAY on Monday, February 9, 2026. In celebration of the Seahawks' Superbowl win last night, Council has granted a 2 hour late start this morning! Breakfast will be from 9:30 am- 10:00 am. Classes start at 10:00 am. Staff report by 9:30.
